The things people ask first.

Does BRO give medical advice?

No. BRO is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition. It doesn't suggest diagnoses and it doesn't replace your doctor. It helps you keep, understand and share your own record. If something is new, severe or getting worse, speak to a doctor, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. There's no account and BRO does not share your record. The one optional exception is Big Bro: only the details you approve are sent, with personal identifiers removed, and nothing is stored. The privacy policy sets out the detail.

How much does it cost?

BRO is free to download and use, and the things that keep you safe and get you heard are never behind a paywall. Premium adds Big Bro and some extra tools.

When can I get it?

BRO is available now on Google Play, for Android phones. iPhone is on its way. Want to know when? Email hello@bigbro.org.uk.

How is this different from the NHS App?

The NHS App shows you the system's record of you. BRO holds your own account: what it feels like, when it started, what you were told and what still hasn't been sorted. They work alongside each other.

Does it work outside the UK?

Yes. BRO started in the UK, but its safety messages point you to your local emergency number wherever you are.

Is there a version for women?

Yes. SIS is the sister app, on iPhone and Android, built on the same idea: your record belongs to you and stays on your device.
